Schwarzenegger had child with staffer PDF Imprimir E-mail

- Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger fathered a child more than 10 years ago outside of his marriage to Maria Shriver, the Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday.

"After leaving the governor's office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago," Schwarzenegger said in a statement obtained by CNN. "I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry."

The revelation, published first by the Los Angeles Times, came about a week after Schwarzenegger and his wife of 25 years announced that they were "amicably separating" and two weeks after their 25th wedding anniversary.

The May 9 announcement that the couple was separating did not mention a reason for the split, but said the decision was a mutual one.

"This has been a time of great personal and professional transition for each of us," they said. "After a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion, and prayer, we came to this decision together."

The couple have four children together between the ages of 14 and 21.

A source close to the former governor confirmed to CNN the chronology of events in the Los Angeles Times story and that Schwarzenegger has, from the beginning, provided support for the child.

A spokeswoman for Shriver said she would have no comment, the Times reported.

Schwarzenegger fathered the child with a household staffer, the Times article said.

The staffer told the newspaper that the child was fathered by her then-husband, according to the Times. She declined to comment after learning of Schwarzenegger's statement, the newspaper reported.

The newspaper quoted her as saying she recently retired "on good terms" with the couple after working for them for 20 years.

The newspaper said it was not publishing the former staffer's name or that of her child to protect their privacy.

A urinary tract infection led to Sepsis which is a severe illness in which the bloodstream is overwhelmed by bacteria.

"It was a really bad infection. Right now she's doing a lot better," Sametto said. Etta will remain hospitalized "as long as it takes to clear her infections." Etta's health has been deteriorating since she was diagnosed with leukemia and dementia. She was hospitalized for similar problems back in 2010, which then caused a family legal dispute.

The singer's other son Donto James, and her husband, Artis Mills, were in court earlier this year for a dispute over the control of her assets for payment of her medical care. As stated in the court documents, none of the party disputes that Etta needs medical care. However, attorneys for Donto questioned the care by a live-in physician and disputed Artis' control for the payments. The problem was resolved in April.

Danielle Staub Is Dating Kim Kardashians Ex PDF Imprimir E-mail

The only thing that can really shock me about Real Housewives of New Jersey and scandal lover Danielle Staub is that if someone told me she was quitting reality TV forever and going the route of Chaz Bono. She isn't of course. Airing all her business for us to consume is part of her "sig-nah-cha" charm. And why we love her. So we really shouldn't be surprised to hear that she's dating king of classiness himself, Ray J. Maybe the two fell for each other when discussing the other's sex tape. Ray J had one with Kim Kardashian, as you may recall. Filmed, of course, when they were an item and released when they were not. And Danielle seemed to proudly boast her X-rated flick as well.

Or maybe Ray J had on some beer goggles and thought Danielle was Kim.

The Ray J/Staub hook up rumors heated up when the two were caught kissing at LA hotspot Lemon Basket. Danielle was there pimping out her latest reality show dalliance coming in the fall called Famous Food, which also stars Heidi Montag, The Bachelor's Jake Pavelka, and Eliot Spitzer call girl Ashley Dupre in their quest to open a restaurant. Pause for laughter.

Ray J, aside from his golden shower-riddled sex tape (delicious!), has been filmed "being himself" before, most notably with his famous sister in Brandy & Ray J: A Family Business and For the Love of Ray J, which was like Rock of Love but without bandanas. Now Ray J is a very handsome guy -- he has to be in order to date Kim Kardashian who has excellent taste in men (I love Reggie Bush!). But it just feels like a desperate attempt for this 30-year-old hottie to get back in the tabloids by dating 48-year-old Staub.

In our fast-paced world, a celebrity is created virtually every minute. But there are few musical celebrities with a legacy as enduring as that of Nesta Robert "Bob" Marley.

Today marks the 30th anniversary of the death of a true musical pioneer, a man whose impact transcended class, race and culture all over the world. The reggae legend inspired an almost spiritual following among a diverse set of believers, who expressed their devotion in iconography as varied as indigenous Australian shrines and posters on college-dorm-room walls.

But the question must be asked: Why do so many people connect with Marley? The answer is fairly simple: Marley was an everyman, a gentle soul and a revolutionary. Many have identified with his humble upbringing in the tiny island of Jamaica, the Pan-African beliefs stemming from his Rastafarian faith, and his advocacy of social justice. When he penned politically charged songs like "I Shot the Sheriff" and "Get Up Stand Up," they resonated as far more than mere recordings. They were calls to action.

Many of Marley's greatest and most recognizable hits came with the Wailers (including Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer), who grew up beside him in Trench Town, a Kingston ghetto that spawned many musical greats. Influenced by American music from the era, the band imbued their traditional Jamaican rhythms with the soul of Motown, creating a different take on black music.

Carried by the Caribbean migration to England, the sounds of the islands were reaching new continents. A chance meeting with Island Records head Chris Blackwell in 1972 allowed Marley and the Wailers access to the same high-tech recording equipment that rock bands were using at the time. Their Third World sound crossed over into the developed world.

Throughout the 1970s the musicians produced a slew of worldwide hits. Tracks such as "Exodus" and "One Love" made the charts in the U.S. as well as in the U.K. and other European countries.

Ultimately, it was Marley's penchant for social justice that made him an identifiable superstar. Although he was half white (born to a father of English descent), Marley always identified himself as Pan-African, and during the mid-1970s he dedicated a string of songs to the Diaspora: "Buffalo Soldier" to African Americans, "Africa Unite" to those in Zimbabwe and "War" to his brothers suffering through South Africa's apartheid.
