Delonte West & Gloria James (LeBron James’s Mom) Rumor – Did It Cost The Cavaliers the 2010 NBA Championship?

By now, you’ve almost surely heard the rumor that LeBron James’ mom, Gloria James, and Delonte West are sleeping together.

There have been several versions of the rumor, ranging from that of a long term affair to that of a one night stand. LeBron James’ lawyer has sent a cease and desist letter to sports blog, terezowens.com, alleging that he was stating the defamatory rumor to be fact. In that letter, LeBron’s lawyer denied the rumor, stating that it was rubbish.

Regardless of whether or not the rumor was true, however, the question remains – Did it cost the Cleveland Cavaliers the 2010 NBA Championship?

LeBron James has made it perfectly clear that he deeply desired to win the Championship. However, his performance in the 2010 NBA Playoff Semi-finals was anything but impressive. His lackluster performance left commentators questioning what was bothering him.

Although this rumor only gained steam following LeBron’s poor performance in the Playoffs, is it possible that the rumor had already begun to surface prior to the Cavaliers losing streak? If so, could the rumor have bothered LeBron James to the point that it affected his performance negatively, therefor answering the questions of all those sports commentators that speculated that something was wrong?
