KEY Matildas striker Lisa De Vanna has been booted out of the squad for today's second international against New Zealand.
Citing an unspecified code of conduct breach, Football Federation Australia said De Vanna would leave the camp in Gosford and return to her club side in the US immediately.
"Unfortunately Lisa couldn't adhere to some of the team's non-negotiable behaviour parameters and we have had to make a decision for the benefit of the entire squad,'' Matildas coach Tom Sermanni said in the FFA statement.
It's a major shock for the Matildas who are preparing for next month's FIFA Women's World Cup in Germany.
They had already lost leading striker Kate Gill for the World Cup after a knee ligament injury.
De Vanna is a proven force at international level who netted four goals at the 2007 World Cup.
