Dancing With the Stars results recap The Finals Countdown PDF Imprimir E-mail

Can’t say it was very surprising, what with the judges’ scores stacked heavily against him. But even with his massive fan base, ultimately, the point deficit ended up being too much for erstwhile Karate Kid and perennial underdogRalph Macchio, and he and pro partner Karina Smirnoff were swept (in the leg) from the “Dancing With the Stars” competition just one week shy of the Season 12 finals.

If only Mr. Miyagi could have been there to use that handheld spinning drum to beat out more points from the judges. Or maybe it was time for Ralph to leave, because we had already seen the actor at his best and most entertaining (in his Week 1 fox trot, the wax-on wax-off paso). Plus, he and Karina had revealed that their freestyle routine was going to be set to “The Band Wagon” and along the same old-school Hollywood lines as Donny Osmond’s, which would have been more of the same. Still, I’ll miss the always and forever Daniel-san. He carried himself admirably. Overcame a knee injury. He and Karina had a great partnership (and Karina looked smokin’ in that red tango dress). And since his face hasn’t changed, my memories of him can remain intact. Stay gold, Ralph. Stay gold.

Oprah welcomes back most controversial guest PDF Imprimir E-mail

Oprah Winfrey welcomed back her 'most controversial' guest ever - A Million Little Pieces author James Frey.

Frey returned to The Opra Winfreu five years after she berated him on-air over his admission that he had made up significant portions of his memoir A Million Little Pieces.

During the interview Oprah said she was shocked about the 'huge backlash' after their previous interview.

Oprah awarded the book, much of which later turned out to be fictitious, a top selection in Oprah Club.

The accolade shot the memoir back to the top of the bestseller list - so the chat show queen was particularly upset when she found out much of it was false.

James told Oprah that he's never watched that infamous episode of The Oprah Show from 2006.

'I think of it as sort of a personal car crash for me,' he said.

'I just don't want to watch it. It was definitely not my finest day.'

Frey said he felt Oprah had ambushed him in the episode after being told by producers that the show was about the 'flexibility' of truth.

'I thought I got ambushed, absolutely,' he said. 'I think even had I known what I was walking into I probably still would have walked into it.

'At the end of it, it didn't matter what happened on that show because in some ways I deserved it.

'You know, I made a mistake, and at a certain time, it came time to pay for it, and I paid for it.'

Romeo was eliminated from ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" Tuesday night, but said the experience only made him stronger.

"I was terrified of dancing. It was one of those things where I just hated to dance. I was a big entertainer, but before 'Dancing With the Stars' and before I met [partner Chelsie Hightower], I really wasn't that good of a dancer at all," Romeo said today on "Good Morning America." "So 'Dancing With the Stars' definitely opened my eyes up and changed my life to have no limits. I'm fearless now."

The rapper, formerly known as Lil' Romeo, revealed he didn't dance at his own prom and even turned down movie offers because he was so afraid to dance.

"I definitely enjoyed this journey. People don't really understand how hard dancing really is," he said, adding that professional partner Hightower helped him come out of his shell.

"He was definitely not open to doing a lot of everything that I wanted him to throw in the beginning," Hightower said on "GMA." "The more he got into it the more he loosened up and kind of took it by storm and just really embraced the whole thing."

One move that Hightower proposed and Romeo rejected: shaking his hips like Beyonce.

There were two major revelations in this penultimate episode of the 'NCIS' season. We'd been forewarned that somebody close to Gibbs would be killed, a loss so major that it would rock Jethro to the core. Well, it was a major player and it was a jolt ... although astute 'NCIS' viewers had probably suspected who the victim would be and there was little surprise.

The other major development had to do with the ongoing port-to-port serial killer hunt. It all became clear with this episode, as we now know who the killer is and how he came to this grisly pursuit. And yet knowing the name and seeing his face is hardly a reason to celebrate, because he's still on the loose and still out to kill.

I was struck by the emotional tenor of the entire story. The mood was set in the opening scene where there was a downpour so heavy that it eliminated the blood trail and drenched the team. As the victim's body was carried into the ambulance, Gibbs stood in the rain and watched.

His mentor and best friend, Mike Franks, appeared out of nowhere, talking over Jethro's shoulder. That was the first indication that the body in the bag was, in fact, Mike.

For a show that generally doesn't employ tricks in the storytelling, the presence of Mike to talk Probie through the case, piece-by-piece, scene by scene, was refreshing. Like the secret of 'The Sixth Sense,' for a time it seemed like Mike was really there.

The scene that tipped it off was Ducky noticing Jethro's distracted reactions in autopsy. Gibbs was reacting to Mike; only Mike was in his mind, not visible to Ducky.

The return of Cork, the CIA slime, was a good touch, and a way to explain how the Frankenstein creature, Jonas Cobb -- a.k.a. P-to-P -- came to be. He wasn't just a run-of-the-mill serial killer like you'd find on 'Criminal Minds' or 'CSI.'

No, Jonas was built by the CIA to be a military assassin. Unfortunately, the CIA blew it. Cobb cracked after his first official agency kill and went off the reservation. As a thank you, Cobb ripped out Cork's eye.
