"I think people in the fashion industry take themselves so seriously and I wanted to make fun of that," smiles Elle Macpherson at the unconventional launch of her latest Intimates lingerie collection. The supermodel chose a modern art gallery to display both the smalls and a host of mini art-exhibitions, including a portrait by Stella Vine (who last year painted a notorious picture of Kate Moss), and a few canvas imprints of, er, Elle's own body-parts dipped in paint: "I put on the underwear and sat on that," she laughs, pointing to one particular purple image.
